Cenário
SumUp, a global player in technology and financial services, faced the challenge of unifying and simplifying access to commercial data for its sales executive team. The goal was to optimize the commercial consultants’ time and centralize negotiation information in an easily accessible location. Previously, the negotiation process involved numerous spreadsheets, emails, and printed documents, making it cumbersome, slow, and challenging to audit. Sales decisions, often made spontaneously during sales interactions, lacked reliability due to their subjective nature. To address these issues, SumUp engaged Briteris to enhance the efficiency of its commercial processes and implement an organized structure.
Challenges
The project centered around three key challenges:
- Centralizing commercial process information
- Integrating the database
- Ensuring quick access to updated commercial rate data
Briteris and SumUP
The collaboration led to the creation of ‘SumUp Smart,’ an app tailored to the needs of sales executives. This tool enables efficient management and facilitation of commercial dealings, alongside document centralization. Featuring geolocation, it allows executives to strategically plan client visits based on operational areas and generated leads, thus optimizing time and resources. Additionally, the app’s data visualization aids in monitoring sales goals on an individual and graphical level across various regions. SumUp Smart serves as a comprehensive tool, enhancing sales performance. The team, comprising Briteris’s operational and strategic experts along with SumUp’s staff, achieved the first milestone within four months. The app’s development utilized Product Design principles and technologies like Flutter, .Net Core, and React. A web-based administrative system was also developed concurrently for leadership purposes, managing users, campaigns, offer registration, rates, proposal management, and a communication hub for executives. This transformation led to a faster, more efficient, and secure process, expediting negotiations and sales. The CRM module within the app consolidates all sales funnel information, aiding in strategic decision-making.
Results
The app’s introduction centralized data into a dynamic database, streamlining time management and enhancing information control. This led to a notable increase in net margin and reduced time spent on invoice issuance and contractual procedures. SumUp Smart brought versatility and efficiency to commercial proposals, adapting to real-time market rates and regional variations. It transformed subjective negotiations into auditable processes, assuring optimal decisions by sales executives.
“SumUp Smart has significantly accelerated our processes and solidified our sales strategy, adding immense value to SumUp,” states Lucas Silva.
